Fall in Love with A Cappella

In simple terms, the meaning of a cappella is pure vocal singing without instrumental accompaniment. Its origins are traced back to the religious church music of the Middle Ages, which played a very important role in the history of art in Europe. During the time, the only music resounding the church walls are the pure vocals of the Gregorian chants, for only the "human voice" alone is the musical instrument created by God. In order to distinguish between the church hymns and secular music, people started to call pure vocal music as a form of church music, which in Italian is "a cappella. Later, a variety of musical instruments were allowed in the church, at the same time, pure vocal music gradually popularized outside the religious realm, and people continued to call this form of music, "a cappella".

The human voice embodies a wide range of sounds or music that can be rich accompaniment to instruments, thus the definition was later specified indicate "music created by sole use of human voices."

A cappella is a form of music independent from the use of instruments. Groups performing this type of music are called a cappella groups. A cappella groups who take on a more pop, jazz, rock and contemporary tunes are what we called "a cappella vocal bands." The style has evolved and diversified to include microphone applications and human beatboxing that has turned into a dynamic contemporary a cappella.
