Vocal Line, the internationally renowned choir from Aarhus, Denmark, is releasing its long-awaited Christmas album on November 25th 2016. The release is followed up by a concert tour in Denmark and Germany.

The choir has performed side by side with Bobby McFerrin in New York as well as with The Rolling Stones at The Roskilde Festival. In 2015 they gave a TV broadcasted concert at the foot of the "Christ The Redeemer" statue overlooking Rio De Janeiro in Brazil which reached 180 million viewers.

This album, with the title: "It's Coming on Christmas" is the seventh CD release from Vocal Line and is at the same time the very first Christmas album in the history of the choir. However, the theme of the album embraces more than just Christmas itself.

Jens Johansen, the conductor of Vocal Line explains: "The new album is of course mainly a Christmas album with songs about Christmas. However, it is also a story about the time leading up to Christmas, the anticipation of the holidays, as well as the time after. When we, up here in the North, celebrate Christmas, we also celebrate the slow returning of the light. That is partly the mood and the feeling that we are trying to portray in particularly the end of the album".

Vocal Line celebrated its 25th anniversary in January 2016 which was marked by a sold out concert in the Aarhus Symphony Hall. At this concert the choir was joined on stage by several Danish musicians as well as a big choir consisting of 70 previous Vocal Line singers.

"Our audience has asked for a Christmas album for as long as I can remember, so we are very pleased to finally be able to present it and for people to put it on their Christmas wish list", Jens Johansen adds.

The new album is celebrated with a number of concerts in Denmark and Germany.
